A variety of materials - including Natural, Neoprene, Hypalon, Nitrile, Butyl and Nitrile/PVC barrier have been used for a range of flexible structures and are suitable for contact with liquids as diverse as fruit juice, latex, edible vegetable oils, high quality wines, and non-hazardous chemicals. The selected polymer will vary, depending on the environmental conditions - such as extremes of temperature (arctic or desert), high flagellation (hovercraft skirts) or need for chemical resistance.
