Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC)

Avon Engineered Fabrications, Inc. opened its doors in 1985 as the only supplier for this U.S. Navy program. Since 1986, Avon Engineered Fabrications has successfully competed for contracts from Textron Marine Systems and Avondale Gulfport Marine (formerly Lockheed Shipbuilding Company), and have produced craft sets, combined with spares requirements, for the majority of operating craft.

Since the completion of craftset and spares requirements in 1996, Avon Engineered Fabrications has worked closely with the U.S. navy on the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) skirting system supplying next generation skirting systems and spare components.

Avon Engineered Fabrications’ increasing involvement with this program has enabled the company to offer a short lead time service to LCAC craft manufacturers and the U.S. Navy. Many spares requirements can now be met from Avon Engineered Fabrications’ inventory. When this is not possible, the company offers a flexible rapid-response scheduling service to meet customer requirements.

Collapsible Storage (Pillow) Tanks

Since 1987 Avon Engineered Fabrications has supplied under a variety of military contracts the supply of collapsible storage tanks . Theses tanks range in size from 3000 US gallons to 210,000 US gallons and are manufactured from either thermoplastic polyurethane or thermoset rubbers to meet US military specifications. The designed usage is for temporary static fuel or water storage.

Avon Engineered Fabrications offer onsite capability to perform not only all quality aspects of contract conformance to specifications but also capabilities to perform fuel/water filling operations as part of a requirement to complete first article testing when required.

Ongoing contracts confirm Avon Engineered Fabrications, Inc. as a leading producer of flexible tanks for both military and commercial applications having produced in excess of 10,000 collapsible storage tanks for multiple applications over the last twenty years.
