Emerging Health Challenges for Rubber

Paul Marchant of ARTIS will be presenting a paper on the 2^nd July 2010 at the IOM3 headquarters in London. The Rubber in Engineering Group afternoon technical discussion meeting, co-organised by the materials KTN, will be focusing on the “Emerging Health and Legislation Challenges for Rubber”. 

Paul will present a paper on “Rubber in Food Contact Applications”. Rubber finds use in a wide range of food contact applications, including seals, tubing, milk teats, soothers, containers and milking inflations. EU / USA legislation covering the use of rubber in food contact applications will be covered, including the rules and limitations of this. Challenges facing the future of rubber in food contact applications will also be discussed.
