Can I use the EH20 emergency hood in a fire?
No, it is only designed to offer protection against a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear threat. In a fire you would need a mask which provides you with oxygen, or has a special filter that removes carbon monoxide,  i.e. self contained breathing apparatus as worn by Fire fighters, or a special smoke hood.
