The Avon-ISI Rescuer is designed for use in the fire service to provide a means to supply emergency air to a downed fire fighter or to rescue a person from a hazardous environment.
The Rescuer RIT system allows a Rapid Intervention Team to attach the RIT connector to a downed fire fighter’s facemask or Buddy Breather system of either the Viking or Magnum SCBA. The system consists of a carry bag, cylinder, pressure reducer, end of service alarm, and eight-foot low-pressure hose with a star manifold. Several different fittings are available on the RIT system star manifold to connect to individual SCBAs. With the RIT system, rescue teams can evaluate the down fire fighter’s SCBA and choose between connecting to the Buddy Breather or facemask for the best rescue option. The Rescuer RIC also offers the UAC (universal air connection) that is on every fire fighter SCBA manufactured to the NFPA 2002 (and 2007, or beyond) standard. This common connector attaches to any SCBA regardless of manufacturer so that a downed fire fighter’s SCBA can be connected to an outside air source.
There are no approvals on Supplied Air Systems.
