Avon Protection, part of Avon Rubber p.l.c. has recently announced receipt of an order from the US Government for 100,000 M50 mask systems in respect of the second year of its 10 year sole source contract.

A second award has now been received for the M50 JSGPM mask series requiring the delivery of a further 61,000 mask systems over the next year.  The combined value of these awards is $34.4m.

Delivery against the first year production requirement is progressing well and fielding by the US Department of Defense has commenced to a number of Air Force and Marine Corps around the world.
