The AA1000 is Avon’s top of the range Self Contained Breathing Apparatus featuring a unique integrated clamshell backframe containing the pneumatic and electronic components to provide emergency response personnel with a comfortable, easy to use and reliable package. An electronic, integrated personal alert safety system (PASS) is also available.

Product approvals

The CE type approved Atlantair range meets the latest EN137:2006 type 2 standard, which includes a new high temperature flame engulfment test. It also meets the new BS8468-1 standard for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) SCBA.

  • Integrated demand valve containing the Airswitch® system for instant ambient air.

  • Kevlar blend harness and shoulder and lumbar pads for additional comfort.

    • Voice amplification and radio communications
    • Head Up Display (HUD) for cylinder pressure status
