Over 1,000 projects per year are handled by the Research and Development Team, who pride themselves on their quick response to their colleagues' dilemmas, regardless of where they are in the world.

In addition to considerable internal expertise, the MDC maintains strong academic links with universities such as Loughborough, Bristol, Bath, Southampton and North London, all of whom can be called upon for help if the answer cannot be found in-house. As a result of these activities Avon continues to be recognised as a world leader in the understanding of the use of polymer products in the market.
